In 1994 company undertook its first expansion/modernization project for increasing the kiln capacity to 750,000 tonnes per year. Measures were also taken to economize the cost of oil consumption. Encouraged by the success of the first phase of the above project whereby annual production reached an all time high of 860,000-875,000 tonnes during 1996, 1997 & 1998 and seeing the still upbeat demand in the market, FCI undertook their second expansion project starting 1998 to increase the annual production capacity to 1.2 MILLION tonnes and to add state of art pollution control equipment to make the industry more environmental friendly. The project was completed by March 1999.

Facilities are established in the plant to produce various types of cement like Ordinary Portland cement, Sulphate Resisting Cement, Moderate Sulphate Resisting Cement, Oil Well Cement as per the certificate number 10A-0072, and Blast Furnace Slag Cement.

Over the last few years Fujairah Cement has been continuously moving forward to upgrade its technology. At present, steps are being taken to incorporate the latest quality control and cost saving equipments along with other world technology in the field of cement manufacturing, as far as possible.
